You're surfing the net and you come across a popular web comic. There's a page with all this legal stuff on it but you don't need to read it, right? You're an honest individual who respects the work and its creators. Since you have no intention of STEALING the work, dumping it onto your crappy Angelfire or Tripod site, and then calling it your own, you should have NO REASON to read anything on this page.
But suppose you're NOT an honest human being. Suppose you're an egotistical, bi-polar twit with a prescription for Prozac from when you were 8 years old because you tried to hang the family dog in the bathtub...twice. You got rejected a lot in school because you were ugly and jealous of the normal to high IQs of the people around you. Your mother ignored you and your father tried selling you on eBay a few times. You're a "right-click-SAVE" maniac and you know enough about Paint Shop Pro v1.8 to take the artist's copyright and signature off the artwork and sloppily paste on your own version. You apparently have all of this free time...it's a shame you're too much of a waste of human flesh to get a real job.
I know who you are and I DON'T LIKE YOU, NOT AT ALL. We all don't like you. I speak for all artists who are kind enough to SHARE THEIR WORK WITH THE WORLD via the internet when I say you deserve to have every one of your teeth BRUTALLY YANKED from your vacant skull with rusty pliers.
What you're doing is ILLEGAL. That means it's AGAINST THE LAW, not unlike arson, stealing cars, or selling cocaine. We WILL send you nasty legal documents. You, being the idiot that you are, will continue to rip us off. Then we WILL get your website taken down. You'll make a new one. Then you WILL wake up one morning with a dead fish and a rose on the hood of your busted-up 1987 Toyota Corolla. Then you WILL crap your pants.
READ THIS AND RESPECT IT!
